The delegation included the Ambassador, the attaché for cooperation at the Embassy of France, Mr. François-Xavier Kowandy and the mobility coordinator of the French Institute in Serbia, Mrs. Vesna Adamović. The visit's goal was to introduce the Ambassador to the Institute Mihajlo Pupin's work and organization, as well as its most important projects, achieved results, and expertise.
The guests were welcomed by the Director General Nikola Tomašević, PhD, and Assistant Director for Finance and Economy Cooperation, Željko Stojković.
They outlined the Institute's portfolio, projects, and outcomes of collaboration with industry and international scientific research institutions.
During the discussion, various possibilities of improving the already established cooperation of the Institute Mihajlo Pupin with numerous institutions in France were considered.
The participants of the meeting agreed that there would be a great potential of establishing new forms of cooperation in various scientific and technological fields of development.
"We believe that such meetings will strengthen the existing ties of the "Mihail Pupin" Institute with more than 30 French institutions,
such as Electricite de France, Engie, Universite de Lorraine, Universite de la Reunion, Alstom, Schneider Electric, Orange, and that it will be is an overture for some new collaborations both in the technological and industrial sense, as well as in the scientific fields of development," said the director of the "Mihajlo Pupin" Institute, Nikola Tomašević, PhD.
The visit continued with a tour of the EMC laboratory, and presenting products from the field of management in the energy domain such as a mobile hydraulic unit connected to a SIL3 certified Tcimp block for protection of steam turbines, a device for turbine overspeed protection and a system for analyzing the vibration state of rotating machines. All the listed products are the result of the work of our researchers.
